Riculous, how old is your VHT 2/50/2? I have been told that the newer Fryette builds of this lack the bias switch and will run EL34 only. Thats why I crossed it off my list!
I have been researching the same thing only I want one that has two independantly biasable amps and I dont want a 180 watt monster or the MB 2:90 Simul would be a no brainer for me to try first. I am down to looking for an RT2/50, a decent Mesa 50/50 (not the 2:50), or a used Carvin T100. I have owned the 50/50 and its a great amp but pretty basic. My friend has a Carvin TS100 for his AxeFX setup and its really transparent, but thats not what I want. Carvin changed something in the TS that I just dont like. I would consider the older more tube friendly VHT that Riculous has or an Engl E840 if one was to be found at a reasonable cost. Maybe Bruce will think about limited runs of a T2/50?
