Pretty sure Rob has mentioned this a couple of times. A chinese circuit not designed by Bruce.

I had a 1250 with the MIDI board issue, it would cause 4 channels at a time to turn on...really weird. I think Rob was able to get the part to fix it, but I doubt that would be the case now.
