I'm pretty sure both channels are HBE. I thought at one point this was JKDs old module that had the C45 mod on the A channel and the B was HBE but we confirmed it wasn't the same one.

There is a slight difference between the two channels; maybe more saturation on the B channel? The difference lends itself to setting one channel for rhythm and the other for lead.

I keep the gain between 12:00 and 1:00 and bump the volume on the B channel for soloing. Squeals and harmonics just flow from it effortlessly; it's a shredders delight!
