Not sure where I should post this or if it's a remotely feasible or worthwhile idea but meh here goes

I've been wondering if it would be a possibility to maybe build an fx loop into a module, maybe 2 small headphones size plugs. I've got an old Korg multi effects that I run in the loop with a bypass pedal I built but I really only want it on with a clean channel and this would minimise tap dancing for me. I know midi rack mount switching is probably way better but I don't really have the funds and I like my crappy old Korg.

Anyways cheers
Brad

Without going into great detail, this would not be a good idea. You would be far better off with a MIDI solution to switch your effects on and off. You don't want to run a cable from a module like that. There is circuitry required to buffer the signal down and up again and that's exactly what your effects loop is doing already.

Something like this may help http://www.nuxefx.com/product_detail.php?id=78
