Hi, I have an RM4 with RT2 preamp. I play with another guitarist and it's really hard to get enough volume during solos. The amp has more than enough power but the problem is lifting that volume mid song. Is there a fix so that I can get a foot switchable solo boost e.g. using a pedal in the send and return loop?

I used an RM4 and would have, for example, two Marshall or Fender style modules and crank up one louder than the other.....one for rhythm and one for leads. I also run the RM4 into the loop of my Digitech GSP 1101 which has some nice distortion and boost features. Using the 4CM works great as I can put the boost before the pre amps and the other FX after.

I use a clean boost pedal. It's a really easy solution. I've read that a lot of players don't like to use any pedals, though. I wonder why
