3 X 10 cab?

Post by ricky » Tue Feb 06, 2018 2:18 pm

I have a thread where I talked about mojotone building me a 1 X 12 cab that fits just right under my MOD50. I really do like it but sometimes I am wanting something a little more. So my question is does anyone have any experience using a 3 X 10 cab? I am pretty sure that mojotone 1 X 12 could hold either 2 12s or 3 10s. I remember an old fender bandmast 3 X 10 amp and it was a cool sounds, so if anyone has ever tried 10s please let me know.

thanks!

in my opinion 10" speakers seem less resonating, more punchy and quicker than 12" speakers, less sustaining, if that;s even possible. They also sound compressed. But, there's a million 10" speakers I haven't heard

sometimes i play a Musicman 2 x 10 combo that must have a pedal in front of it to sound better.
