You might not notice much improvement initially, maybe a bit more clarity. From what I?ve read and my limited personal experience, they take a lot of play time to break in and get better over time.

I did the swap on a Plexi module and basically copied a Voodoo Amps modded module as far as which caps to replace but used the values listed in the spreadsheet for a stock plexi. I had already done the bass and gain mod and had played it like that for a while so the cap change wouldn?t be confused with other changes. As I said, the change wasn?t dramatic and barely noticeable. I did the same with a Bman module and the results were the same. The Bman has had more hours on it since the cap change and sounds very nice. The plexi sounded real good too but I sold it a while back.

Here's the plexi:

Here are the links for downloading the current version of the component spreadsheet:

Graham - thanks so much for compiling this information.

Unfortunately, I still can't seem to access www.grahampearson.com. My browser just times out.

I'll send you a PM.

I still can't get http://www.grahampearson.com/ to load and have PM'd Graham with no reply. Does anyone else have a copy of the latest spreadsheet?

First of all, a couple of apologies.

I am NOT receiving any PM's. Please use my email address to contact me. Unfortunately, the Grailtone PM system seems to be problematic.

I have asked my ISP guy to figure out why some of you are having trouble accessing the component spreadsheet files. As soon as I hear from him, I'll let you know what the solution is. Typically, he gets back with me in a few hours.

I finally heard back from my ISP guru. He tells me that the links to the component spreadsheet files are good and that any member of the Grailtone forum should be able to download them.

He suggests that the problem could be with your firewalls and the fact that Microsoft Word and Excel files can contain viruses. If you have a problem downloading the Excel component spreadsheet file, for example, it could be that your firewall is protecting you.

So here's what I've done. The easy part was to translate the Microsoft Word document containing notes about the Excel spreadsheet into a pdf.

I've also translated the Excel spreadsheet into a pdf. The unfortunate thing about this translation is that the pdf isn't as feature-rich as the Excel file. You lose some Excel features such as cell comments and the ability to edit the spreadsheet and email me updates.

I've edited every post in this topic to reflect the new component spreadsheet links. There are 3 files now. There's the Excel spreadsheet. Try downloading this. If it doesn't work, then try downloading the corresponding pdf. There's also a pdf version of the notes that explain how the spreadsheet was developed.

Here are the updated links for downloading the current version of the component spreadsheet:

http://www.grahampearson.com/MTS/ModuleComponentValues.xls
http://www.grahampearson.com/MTS/ModuleComponentValues.pdf
http://www.grahampearson.com/MTS/ModuleComponentValues-Notes.pdf

Let me know if you are still having trouble downloading these files, and I'll scratch my head again.
Graham
