Hey Guys, I had a little time today to record the HBE, Savage and SLO modules using the SYN-2 preamp. The signal chain is as follows:

Les Paul Custom w/Burstbucker Pro>SYN-2 Preamp>Vintech X73>FMR PBC-6A>MOTU 828es>Cubase 10>ReCabinet 5. No external EQ or EQ in the DAW. I'm using the Celestion IR's with a Royer R121 and Shure SM57 on a 4x12 loaded with Lynchback speakers. The basic settings for each are Gain at 1 O'clock, Bass & Treble at 12 O'clock with the Mid at 10 O'clock. I only used the Red Channel of each module.

The mixes are a bit deceiving, as the modules sound very different when playing them on their own. The differences are still audible in the mix (although a little more subtle) but I don't want to give my opinion or experience with each (alone and in a mix) until you guys have had an opportunity to check out the files.

My website is in transition so the examples have been uploaded to Soundcloud instead. Enjoy! :D

Awesome. Thanks!!!

They all have their own unique sound, although I think the SLO has a big difference from the others. I don’t think it solves any “which one should I get next” quandaries, because they all sound great.

Awesome work, and thanks heaps for posting mate.

I don't think most people realise when they demand "post clips" that there is a fair amount of time and effort into doing so properly!

They all sound great, I'm interested in the ENGL and this has been most helpful.

Thanks again pal :)

Agree, clips sound great. My favourite is the SLO. Love that cutting midrange.
