I just purchased one of these amps used and it has the Electro Harmonics tubes in it. The gain seems to be a little bit sizzly and noisy. I'm going to change the preamp tubes and the dynamic power circuit tube. Any suggestions? Also this may not be anything, but the preamp tubes don't heat up and glow like a normal tube amp does. I'm used to them glowing to where you can see them through the top of the metal tube holders. Is this normal for these amps or do I have an issue. The amp seems to be working properly its just weird that the preamp tubes don't glow.
I have a Randall RM100 and the tubes in the modules glow pretty bright and get red hot. The ones in the T2 get pretty warm, but not as hot as the ones in the RM100.
