Need to remove these "rings" ..... KT88 is big&fat tube. :p

The original Bias setting for JJ E34L in my Lynch Box is around 43mV

I think this is an award winning first post...welcome aboard!

+1

An absolutely stunning amp. I dread to think what 4 KT88s can do :D

Did ya get the matching cab?

Thanks to you all. :D

I wish I could get the Lynch Box 412 cabinet .....
Here is no any Randall dealer in my country.
Very hard to bring that over-sized cabinet over the countries.
The shipment charges so high.

Here is the video clip that made by me for my Lynch Box (still with JJ E34L power tubes)

Nice!!!!
I have the Lynch box too and had it loaded with KT 88's! Just BRUTAL!!
I was overpowering the drummer and bass player so I switched out to 2 KT 88 and 2 EL34 and it just sounds SWEET!!! Thats the wonder of the Randalls......so easy to swap tubes in a matter of minutes and get that total different tone! I love it!

Welcome aboard!!! :D

I have tried the bias setting range from 52mV to 25mV for my KT88 tubes
But something funny that I really like the "cold" bias setting (~33mV).
One of the mainly reasons is the sound, and the other reason is "cold" bias setting
can let me turn the master volume and preamp volume louder in bedroom level.

But .....
Will this such "cold" bias setting harm my Lynch Box or KT88 tubes ?

ya~ I'm going to try the mix combination of power tubes this weekend.
Hope that "KT88 E34L E34L KT88" will be my new favourite tone.

kt-88 and 6l6 together is pretty cool, or 4 jj6l6's is very nice for metal

what is the main difference with the KT88EH tubes also what did you bias them too? which meter do you recomend... where do you get one?.... so many questions!!! Thank you
