The modded 1086 seems to be the most popular mod (may or may not be the case, just seems that way).

Anyway what are everyone's settings/setup?

Mine:

RM50 (6L6)
Gainboost: on
Gain: 5
Bass:6
Mids:7
Treble:4
Level:5.5
Midshift: Left
Master: 5.5
Depth: 4
Presence: 2

This is with an Edwards LP>>TS808>>RM50>>Randall XL V30/H30.
I'm playing punk rock for the most part, and this fucking kills alongside my other rig for what we're doing.
1086 isn't just for metal 8)

Stock 1086

RM4 + RT 2/50 (EL34)

Mojave 2x12 (G12H30s)

Gainboost: off
Gain: 10
Bass:4
Mids:7
Treble: 10
Level: 5
Midshift: Left
Master: 5.5
Depth: 9 o'clock
Presence: 3 o'clock

I use the 1086 set up like this for just a good all around distortion...while its not "the Brown sound", it handles VH really well, particularly when coupled with a nice delay+reverb. Really good for just about anything standard though.

I use my 1086 for various tunes so my settings are all over the place. Its just THAT VERSATILE!! 8)
Anything from Conway Twitty to Slayer and Beyond! :D

**NOTE**
KIDDING ABOUT THE CONWAY TWITTY!!

and dont let the mid scooped setting fool you, it cuts! i normally run my mids about 3 o clock, but ive trusted my ears on this one...still working on a decent sound with the mid voicing on the right-i love the girth and low end it produces but just doesnt seem as cutting or punchy as my current setup
