Hello all,
I have read about different tubes people use. My question is, when I bought the amp there was a JJECC81 in the power section- And the other 3 tubes consisting of 2-JJECC83 and 1-Ruby 12AX7. Has anyone had this configuration also.
Just trying to find the best matching tubes to make this baby scream

My amp also has this configuration as well , But mines a T2.
I just ordered some tubes , Ill post back what I think of them when I get them .
 
in my T2 i had 1 EH12at7 for the valve dynamic and 2 EH12ax7 and 1RUBY 12ax7.
i now have a RUBY 12at7 in the vd[lol] a RUBY 12ax7 in v1 and 2 tung sol 12ax7s in v2 and 3.theres a major sound improvment imo :D
 
I ordered (2) tung sol 12ax7s , (1) Mullard 12ax7 , and I already have (1) EH 12ax7 .
I never new this but the ENGLE Savage ( one of my favorite amps ) use all JJ/Tesla tubes for there preamp . One thing I didn't try yet is putting one in the V1 slot and see what happens .
