Any of you guys using a THD or similar with your Box?
If I remember correctly, there wasnt enough of a difference in the master vol to warrant 250 bucks for an attenuator/ Plus we have the luxury of the module volumes !!??

It really depends on whether you want more of the power tubes in your sound...if you do, an attenuator will definitely allow for that while keeping the volume managable.

Another use for a Hotplate is to improve the taper on the Volume Pot...bloody things go from off to too loud pretty quickly...a 4 or 8dB pad offsets this.

I have to use the attenuator on some of my amps as they have no master volume. Though, I can crank the volume of my 5150III and use the attenuator and it sounds amazing.
