I had received my Custom mod back from Trace @ Voodoo a little while ago, but had not had a chance to really play it .
Thursday night at band practice I finally had a chance to crank it up .
It sounds Great , this mod was done to my old Egnater Eg5 .
So the bass boost and bright switches are still there .
there is a ton of gain in this thing ,
Another cool thing Trace did is put a trim pot on the board so that if you wish to dial in a little less gain , you can do that.
The master has a mid boost which adds a very vocal sound to the tone ,it sounds super sweet with my single coil neck pickup.
The tone controls are VERY responsive ,it is easy to add low end or a little bite .
The mod works great for old Van Halen ,as well as some more modern styles .
Trace did an amazing job ,the work is clean .and compared to the noise before it is pretty much silent now.
I would strongly recommend Voodoo amps , Trace works very hard to ensure that you are 100% happy with the end result ..and I am
