Best module for Vintage Vanhalen sound?

so that is what a stock plexi module sounds like,cool.

That sounds too gainy to be stock, to me.

A lot of that is coming from the power tubes. . . I get that amount of gain with the power amp cranked all the way up with 6V6's. The plexi gain doesn't have to be all the way up to get this much gain.

I got the guitar rig setup from the guy that recorded the clip. I'm going to see if I can replicate it.

No, but that's not a bad idea! I'll give it a try.

This is already very close to where I have it set already, and my master is always at 50% (except when I was trying to duplicate his tone. )

a eq with a mid boost may help push the module to the sound as well.thats what evh used.lol
