I've never played a V2 (any of the versions of it), but I saw a band play using one. I liked how it sounded, so I'm considering picking one up. What I want to know is if I can get a sound like the Warhead or RG100ES out of it. I'm guessing the SS channel with an OD in front would probably get me closest to Dimebag's tone, but I know I can't be the only person who wanted to get that tone from the V2.

They are quite different amps. Warhead was totally solid state and had on board effects creating the gain.

V2 and T2 sound quite different due to the tube preamp, more chunky and full sounding.

If you do get one you will want to scoop the hell out of the mids and possibly add a tubescreamer to boost the preamp to get close to that Dimebag tone.
