The HG means high grade or high gain depending on which brand. I think it's high grade in Ruby. I do like these tubes, but in Grail I prefer V1-JAN5751, V2-Mullard reissue. Heaps better than what came stock in mine. Not that I didn't like it already. I like some TAD's in modules too.
