hey guys, i have a randall b 300 head that is crapping out. i have not been able to find any info, service manuals, etc. on this head. its like it never existed. can anyone help?
basically, at normal volume it lacks low end definition and is 'fuzzed' up. i have tried multiple basses and even borrowed another head to see if the sound was speaker related. any bass sounds like crap and other head sounded good.
of course, its solid state so there is only so much a lame-man can do. i don't notice any charred components but there is an internal pentometer for some kind of adjustment. WTF does the pento do? I was afraid it was for voltage and didn't want to monkey with it and cause more damage until i knew what it was.
