I'd love to stock up on the MTS gear, but I am in Canada and shipping/brokerage fees can get expensive sometimes.

I've been resisting the urge to buy one of the loaded heads for a week or so now. I'm sitting here debating the Scott Ian head right now....someone talk me out of it! **** MTS is like crack....I can't stop....

I just got off the phone to finalize my purchase :twisted: I found out Randall wants all of the MTS stuff gone by April so they can avoid renewing/paying the Egnator licensing fees, and they're letting Funky move most of it. The prices may come down a little between now and then, but I wouldn't count on the item you're wanting to be available for too long at those prices. Don't be surprised if you see more than one of those Scott Ian loaded heads get sold, as there are a few left. But at that price, you might be taking a chance waiting. You gotta buy it so I don't have to!!!

Welll...ok.....since you insist. I have no idea why I need this, but it was to cheap to resist. I'll probably sell the modules anyway, as I can't see using them as donors :roll:

Nice! I did the opposite...had to have the modules to keep but not the head. Already have a RM100KH and a RM100LB, and oh yeah the NBKING100 too...****, I just realized I DO need this head so I can have ALL 4 signature heads!!! NO, MUST NOT! Jeez, since they're givin' it away, maybe...no, no, I can't. You did it for me so I'm off the hook for now 'til the next one is listed. He just posted it this morning! And only got the price list from Randall yesterday LOL. From what Jon said, that 1987 module is the Biz-NESS...iffy on the other two, but that 1987...sounds like a keeper.

We do get brokerage raped in Canada.. my used LB100 at the time cost me just under 1200 but came with blackface,brahma,and SL+. Not a great deal but not horrible either. Shipping was another 100$ or so and then 120$ in customs fees. Dirty rats. I would almost pull the trigger on a RM22 or a rm50 combo BUT i think the effects loop sucks balls in these. The newer Lynchboxes fixed this problem I think but the old? crapola . Did not play nice with my Gmajor 2 in my opinion. I also don't feel like i should have to buy another box like an ebtech line shifter so i can use the two together. Randall ALMOST had this design right! Too bad the whole thing is dying.

Still though, the urge is always there.. for gigs, combo amps are the way to go.

Price drops on some things. ****, you'd think that would make a guy want to wait for it to go lower...but **** if it doesn't make you want to BUY stuff TOO!!!

So it seems the the magic number pretty much hovers around 69-70% off MSRP for the markdowns. That's basically what the best deals I've gotten so far have been. The only thing that's dropped more (77% off MSRP) is the RM100C 2x12 Combo amps. I'm not sure what it is about those but they are really trying to move those puppies.

I've been watching this stuff closely for weeks...is it me, or did all the dealers show up at once today posting their 70% off MSRP MTS heads??? Guess they've been sitting on them waiting for the new price list eh? The worst part about selling stuff this cheap off retail is it makes it seem the price was either hyperinflated for inferior product, or it devalues high quality products. look at what Sears did to Craftsman by always offering %50+ off, no-one will buy anything unless it's half off now. I do know one thing, if this stuff is around long enough to drop another 50-70%, I will have a WHOLE LOT of amps for spare parts :twisted:

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me man! The only reason these are had any cheaper right now is because of Big Business Corporate decisions by U.S. Music Corp to discontinue the line, liquidate to meet deadlines, etc. If they didn't have to pay the licensing fees, they wouldn't be letting them go so cheap, but they have to meet that deadline or it will cost them a lot more than what inventory they have left. For the last remaining items between here and april, you can bet that a few folks will pay some absolute bottom prices, where U.S. Music takes a loss, but minimizes that loss compared to not being legally able to sell the inventory after April without renewing the license. For me, it wasn't worth taking the chance on a couple of these items that it won't be around in a day or a week. This stuff is nice enough to pay the regular asking price for. ****Edited out offensive statement****

Get outta here! Seriously??? From who? Pthat is a pretty SCARY deal and almost too good to be true. I like the RM50 heads too, definitely space wise and probably weight wise though slight. I'd really be interested in a combo for live use but the RM22 with direct out also would be killer.

That is NAZTY man!!! Congrats!!! I don't think they'll have any problems getting the rest of this line sold by April. Yes, the deals will get better, but the selection will get scarcer too. I'm happy with what I've paid and what I've gotten so far. Sad the line is finished...but glad to get such kick a$$ gear at these prices! Curious to see how the fees are though :shock:
