Has anyone tried the counter-parallel diode arrangement noise reduction on a module?
The theory is that no signal passes unless it exceeds the forward voltage of the diodes. This "cores out" the center of the waveform but is said to be OK on higher gain circuits. A parallel resistor of high value can be used to temper the effect (and effectiveness)
You could probably put it in the series loop. I may give that a try for fun.
