|
|
I have a new business venture with a few friends of mine. We're about to open a bar and entertainment venue in the heart of downtown Hartford, CT- The Tap 88.
We have 3 floors, nearly 6000 square feet and a state-of-the-art sound system. The first floor is a lounge, the second floor is our main bar and band space and the third floor is a sports bar with pool and air hockey tables.
We're shooting of a mid-to-late November launch and I'm looking to have bands ready to play our bar when we open. I'm looking for bands of all kinds (except screaming metal & hardcore).
If you're interested in a gig, please reply to this thread or PM me with details about your band and we can go from there.
...If you don't have a band, but live in the area and want to try some place new and exciting, be sure to check us out when we open _________________ Good Deals- Just ask around

There are a few things that the other partners and I have talked about when it comes to acts. Hardcore and screaming metal bands are a no-no's because while the music might be technically proficient, it scares the general public away. The music and bands we feature need to attract people to the bar. Blues and jazz are a case by case basis. As for the clip, It might be a little too slow for what we're looking for. Is that you band? _________________ Good Deals- Just ask around

Yep, that's my band. That's just a clip that was handy. We play a variety of tempos. A venue we always sell out is: http://www.alorcafe.com/ |

One deterrent that always made me cringe when I was out gigging regularly is UPSTAIRS CLUBS!
Hauling stuff up a flight of stairs sucks.
Consider having the band on the bottom floor. _________________ My opinion is only valid if you're playing OLDER ROCK. |

I've been lucky where places that had upstairs/downstairs places also had a service elevator. |
