Looks like a 'tight' switch....changing the amount of cap c3 (?) changes the low end into the front end of the gain....

It's a 3 way switch, probably stock on center, and 2 different levels of low end boost? At least that what it sounds like.
Any idea who could have done it?

Anyone could have done it, trivial mod.
