So I put a mod in bay 1 of my RM50 and after it warmed up quite a bit, I hear what sounds like a tube noise. I checked the tubes and they tested out good on my trusty Orange Vt1000. Hmmm....so I put another module in and after the amp re-warms up I get the same noise. i switch channels and there is no noise in the second channel. I go back to channel 1 and the noise is there. I think it must be a pre amp tube in the RM50, but wouldn't that affect both channels? I don't think there is a separate tube for each channel. Any ideas why it would only be in one channel? Does it sound like a tube problem? Again, if it is the input tubes wouldn't that affect both?
