Newest edition of the Egnater EG 3/4 module with the voice switch as well as channel selector for the MTS heads that cannot access both channels.

What does the voice switch do? Boost mids?
I've read the EG3/4 is darker than the SL2, so does that make it similar to it when engaged?
 
The voicing scoops it out a bit. It makes it a bit meaner.
Never had the sl2 but compared to the the sl it's a bit darker (on the same eq settings) tho u can easily brighten it out with eq. It's smooth tight and has more gain on tap than the sl
