I'm doing a shootout between three modules.
JF Cali-Lead
JF 6550
JF Dzilla

It'll be two riffs. One mainly leads and the other mainly rhythm. Each clip will play the riffs twice and the second play through will have a certain other switch turned on.

Only post EQ on guitars will be a low pass at 12khz and a high pass at 80hz.

Here's the shootout!

Signal Chain
RGD2127FX (SD Distortion) -> OD -> Module (All settings noon except for gain/volume) -> Knucklehead Tre Poweramp (6L6) -> Mesa 4x12 Traditional -> SM57 -> Saffire 24 interface -> DAW.

I notice in your signature you're using Warpigs in your Universe?

I had a set of Warpigs come in a Les Paul Custom Classic that I bought off a friend, and didn't quite gel with them (I like a bit more of a vintage vibe in my pickups), how do you get on with them? I found them very unique sounding, but wasn't quite sure whether I liked that or not at the time. Was using them into an Uberschall, but I got rid of that to get into MTS, haha.

Keen to hear these.

Unfortunately I didn't use the Warpigs in this clip. This was my RGD2127FX with Seymour Duncan Distortions in it.

Favourite tone out of that lot was the last Cali-Lead rhythm part. Just had a bit more openness to it.

Yeah the Cali is probably the most versatile out of the bunch. It can hit huge range of tones. The Dzilla can also hit a nicer open tone. I'll post another clip using it's Deep switch with both the VH4 and Herbert Channels.

Here's the Dzilla clip with the Deep Switch engaged.

Listening now...wonder if I still have my Cali-Lead kicking around. :-D
