pics are worth a thousand words... have a few clips I've been using for tests... will have more soon. Just thought I'd share. I have a few other projects in the gigmods skunkworks also, news on those soon. Need to find some mesa looking knobs that are smaller, the actual mesa ones dwarf the module!

Thanks Dan. BTW, you preferred the Randall module over the Mesa. :D

Pete

Not surprising. The Randall is just KILLING tone these days. VERY VERY HARD TO BEAT!!
LONG LIVE RANDALL!! 8)

One is the studio preamp, other is the Randall, both are into a Fractal standard for reverb, delay, and cab emulation. Was the easiest way to make sure I was levelling the playing field for both clips.

They're both good, but I like the 1st clip best.

I'm assuming the second clip is the Mesa? It seems a bit thinner and more focused than the first one, which I figured was the Randall. The chugs at the end I actually prefer on the second clip, but the first one was just fuller sounding overall to me.

I like the 1st as well .if that is the Randall..good job man.

both clips are good but the 1st one seems to be just a bit fuller and a bit more sing

Uh oh.

A potential replacement for my Pete Modern.

What module to I need to pick up to have modded

Ultra lead, but should be able to use other modules. I'll have to look at some pcb's.

It's based on a Mark series.

Pete

The mark series have a lot in common tonally... I can also hear some of the "Speak of the Devil" live Ozzy tone on it, and that was a Mesa IIB.
