Hey guys, i made a trip down to NC today to try out the randalls. I was playing the rm100 loaded with 6l6's. The closest i could get to the tone that i want was playing through the xtc module with the dark switch on the back of the cab. The only other high gain modules i watned to try that they didnt have were the ultra xl which i heard is like the ultra but with more gain but basically a solid state randall high gain module and the 1086. Basically how does the 1086 compare to the XTC? When i was playing through the xtc, i decided i need a little less break up and it was a little too dry. Would el34s or kt88s work better for my situation instead of the 6l6's?
