Help! Channel Switching Delay on Engl Savage/Syn-1

Hope everyone's November is starting well. I have an issue on only one of my preamps that is bugging me. The Engl Savage has a slight delay when I switch between the first and second channel, and it really kills whatever groove I've got going. I've fiddled with every switch and I'm curious if this is just how this preamp comes, if my unit is defective, or if there's something I can do to make it seamless like my BE-BB and VH4. Otherwise, this is my favorite metal sound I've tried and is nearly flawless.
