JF ODS is def hard to beat for a mid gainer. I haven't played through Rob's new OD-2, but... some of my favorite tones from the ODS are found by flipping the switches. For some reason Rob deleted those tonal options on the transfers paris airports-2? Who knows....

I had 3 different revs of the original ODS but the OD-2 was amazing! Didn't need the switches because it just sounded right. I regret letting that one go...

well I like the cleans on it too, and I actually use those switches more for cleans. Yes there is one position that sounds best for the dirty stuff and it could just be locked that way. ...but that same sound isn't as good for the cleans.

I'm curious how you use the switches for cleanings?

I know this is a bit late to the party

Clean - Salvation Loneclean II (you get the amazing Lonestar cleans and a great Lead channel)
Edge of Breakup - Salvation Matchvox, JF VX30 or the discontinued JF Chiefton
Gain - Salvation Stonerverb DeLarge (this module can just cover so much stuff from cleanish to all out mayhem)

If I had to pick a Syn-2 Synergy rig
Clean-Breakup - Morgan AC (all the classic clean chime and edge of breakup)
Dirt - Bogner Ecstasy (can kind of cover Plexi-almost modern metal)
