The tolex sucks I recoverd the head - use contact cement - I would advise using the non toxic stuff , it will save you getting a headache. I used The Marshall red tolex - I Also filled in the side handles

How about a real xtc.. I have a rm 100 in the shop right now - I have a recto , xtc , modern , blackface and plexi mod , The rm 100 has to be one of the crappiest built amps I have ever owned!!! Tung - the xtc mod - seems to be pretty good.. Just buy one , their not that much.. got mine...

What kind of noise/ 60 cycle HUM or hiss... what kinda setup...

I don't think it's a blown fuse... You can slave the head out - it works , plug into the return and you get sound.. the signal seems like it's not getting from the preamp to the power section z

Don't count on your rm 100 as your main amp.. Mine is dead after owning it for two weeks.. As far as build quality - it's pretty bad..

The modern has zero mids That's what i hear , I have to run the mids on 8-10 really really scooped.

hey pete , some chicken head knobs will work and wont touch.. ie the one's off my Legacy amp work.
