    pedals in loops?

I've heard good things about the Ebtech line level shifter. It converts pedal signals to line level so you can use them in the effects loop. I don't have any experience with this myself, but it seems to be the best solution to the line level problem.

4 button Randall footswitch with RM100

Is it possible to use the four button footswitch meant for the RM4 with an RM100 and a MIDI capable pedal? I would like to set up my channels like this: Clean, Clean w/effect, Rhythm, Lead. The pedal is a MIDI capable Damage Control Glass Nexus. I assume I would program the clean channel...

    Cabinets for RM100?

What would you guys recommend for a cabinet to go with an RM100? I mainly play metal, but I'm not looking for a metal only tone (hence my decision to get an RM100). I've heard good thing about the Lynch Box, VHT cabs, and Mesas, but I'm open to any suggestions.

Does the M4 accept PC or CC messages?

I was talking to a friend about the G-System and apparently the G-System sends out two different types of MIDI messages, PC and CC. Does anyone know which type the M4 receives or if it receives both?

    G-System questions

I've read that channels can be switched by programming the 3 loop buttons to send MIDI signals, but can the channels be switched along with presets via the 1-5 preset buttons? On a semi-related note, which would offer more options and easier control functions with the M4 : the G-System or a...

Noise Supression and Compression on Effects Processors?

Are the noise supressors and compressors on multi-effects units like the Rocktron Xpression or T.C. Electronics G Major any good? Or should I buy an ISP Decimator and some separate compressor? Also, does a compressor make a big difference in live settings or is it something that is used more in...

Best way to arrange rack gear?

I'm trying to plan out a rack system and have a few questions as far as placement of the different components. The setup will include: Egnater M4 (2 spaces) Randall RT 2/50 (2 spaces) Rocktron Xpression (1 space) Korg DTR-2000 or 1000 (1 space) Furman PL-8 II Power Conditioner (1 space) Some...

Question on switching channels on M4 dual modules

Thanks. I would have thought the button to change channels would have been on the modules themselves.

Question on switching channels on M4 dual modules

I'm planning on getting an M4 and I'm pretty sure that both channels on the dual modules can be accessed via MIDI. I just don't know how you would program it. I know, very basically, how to program MIDI. My main question is how the dual channel modules switch channels. Is there a manual switch...

    Randall modules vs. Egnater modules

Is there any tonal difference between Randall and Egnater modules? I know the Egnaters are dual channel, but has anyone A/B'd a Randall Recto and an Egnater Erect, or a Randall SL and an Egnater SL?

    RT2/50 with one cab?

Thanks, with the cost of the RT 2/50, Egnater M4 and modules, I don't think I'll be able to afford a second cab right away.

    RT2/50 with one cab?

Can the RT 2/50 be used in channel switching mode with one cab? For example, running the cab in stereo and running the output from channel 1 to the right side of the cabinet and the output from channel 2 to the left. or would you need two cabs in order to have each channel connected to a proper...

    Power amp question

Thanks, that definitely cleared alot up. I really appreciate your help. Most of the time when I post a question on guitar forums, I get a bunch of people calling me "noob".

    Power amp question

This is probably a very stupid question, but I don't know much about rack setups and I'm looking to start one. What is the purpose of or how would you use a power amp with two channels? I know the RT 2/50 is MIDI controlled, but what if you weren't using MIDI? It seems like the only reason or...
