True. High gain is its bread and butter no doubt. Great thing about the 6505+ model is it already has a bias adjustment knob on it. ;)

Is it possible to buy/exchange face plates on the RM100s? Lets say i have a plain mesh grille plate, and want the Black Palamino look. I think this would be a great add-on for sales, as Jet City is doing this . . .

Yes I still have the 6505+. I really like it, but the *only* amp I'd give it up for is an RM100, and only because I have wanted one way before the 6505. PM me and we'll talk ;)

I recently got a *mint* Peavey 6505+ in a trade, and I'm still leaning towards an RM100. If anyone would like to work out a trade, hit me up and we'll talk. Plenty of HC references.

I actually like the Alchemist very much. What it comes down to, is in the end I want a 3 channel amp that's MIDI controlled. I'm trying to get the Alchemist to sound like an Ecstasy, and in lieu of buying a real Ecstasy, I figure I'd be just as happy with an RM100 and a modded XTC module.

I know you're not really looking for trades, but any interest in a Bogner Alchemist?

Just a quick chime in here . . . For the price of a modded module to get a Pantera sound . . . you can buy the actual amp for probably less ;)

I don't recall Killswitch ever using Triple Recs . . . One amp that is consistenet over the years (album-wise) is the 5150. That amp alone will get you some great tones off the ODR and TEOH albums. Find a module close to the 5150 and you'll be in the ballpark for certain.
