This is of course exactly what scares me. The demo sounds amazing. My fear is that I would not be able to find those tones. I believe my RM50 has EL 34's.
I am looking for one of these now. Are you getting the old school Metallica and Dream Theater tones that are posted on the Salvation site? I grew up on 80's metal and those are my grail tones.
I currently have an RM50 and RM22 and hoping to get those tones.
I have both, and I find myself playing the rm50 almost all the time. I haven't given the rm22 the attention it deserves though.
Love the 50 so much I'm considering getting a second as a backup.
I think that is a bada$$ top notch guitar. His PRS guitars don't even come close. I understand why he went with PRS, but the product in this case is not nearly as good.
The RM50 specs say this:
"Tube buffered parallel effects loops with front panel mix control
Series effects loop"
So, the head has two effects loops. The parallel loop currently has the reverb plugged in. If I unplug the reverb, and plug in my M13, will I be able to control the level of mix...
When you say the cannels are synched, do you mean that with the push of one button you change the effects on the M13 AND the module on the Randall?
If so, which button makes the change, the M13 (I assume)?
Yep, made fot Ty...not for the public. There has been quite a movement to get it released to all, but that hasn't happened yet. Obviously, the name tells you it provides early King's X tone. Ty was using it live (so I have read) when he was using the Egnater modular line. I don't know...
I'm a Ty Tabor fan too. Bruce Egnater said that he is going to do a small run on his modules that will be compatible with the Randall heads...meaning the Randall will be able to access both channels of the Egnater module, but not via footswitch. I asked if he would (or could) consider doing...
I have an infatuation with the SLO. I tell myself to get a HR50+...and I am seriously thinking about doing this. In the back of my mind I have this fear that it would just be a stop on my way to a SLO. I am looking for 80's metal tones, so I am guessing either would be excellent.
YES! Because I own a couple of the Randall's, it didn't make sense to buy an Egnater 2 channel module because I can only use one of them. If I have access to both channels, then yes!!!
The cab is made for getting cranked tone while recording. It is not really suitable for using as a monitor just for playing. Sure, you could leave the lid open, but you may not like what you hear. Check out the demos on youtube.
This exactly.
I knew nothing about MTS until a few months ago. I have never once seen an MTS amp in a GC or Sam Ash. I look at it as dumb luck that I found it at all...or maybe it was divine intervention  I can't believe the versatility and the quality of tone that is available (or...
