My friend "Charkey" convinced me to record an Addison Road cover.

I played all the instruments (no drums) and nothing is computer generated.
She did the vocal.
It was a challenge to keep time with no drums.

Hope you like it....but just in case someone out there percieves a hidden agenda...this is only a song. I am in no way advocating any religious affiliation or alignment. I'm not trying to "convert" or "save" anyone.
It's just a song.

No love here, huh?

Well, it was worth a shot.

Today I purchaced a Focusrite Trakmaster Pro Platinum (used, Ebay)

Hope it makes her voice a little more "in there".

She complained about my current setup (I'm recording everything using my M-Audio Black Box as the preamp) and the monitoring is not great either. (not the $200 AKG headphones at fault)
Can't wait to hear this thing record thru S/PDIF (I've never used my soundcard's S/PDIF)

Thanks for listening even if you didn't comment.

I know it's not most of you's cup of tea (probably more like 0.5%) but I just wanted to share.
I know it's an average sounding recording, but that was her first take and a rough mix. (she's even told me to nix the echo on the end :x )
Can't please everyone...sometimes, nobody!

♫ But it's, alright now, ...I learned my lesson well ♫
♫ Say you, can't please everyone so ya, got to please yourself ♫

Who Dat ?
