Plate Voltage for RM22 I've heard is quite high but can't find a figure....Anyone know?

I just bought a pair of Gold Lion EL84s but they don't typically deal well with high plate voltage...I don't wanna kill myself trying to measure it and my bias rite only has octal connectors...

Thanks...

Features say that the RM22 has 18 watts. As the factory recommendation is to bias between 16 and 20 mA, one could assume it to be 420V (which would bring the tubes to 70% at 20mA).

I'll measure it next time I check the tubes.

Mattfig, I had good luck with JJ's in my RM20.... I think I read somewhere That they can handle more plate voltage than most other EL84's. The Sovtek's worked as well although they were duller/warmer.. The JJ's had more detail. Their KT77's are amazing as well
