anyone using the RM4/M4 for bass?

Hello everybody;

I am thinking about using my RM4 as a bass pre using a clean mod or maybe the bassman (or blackface, for that matter) for recording.

Anyone done this and/or have any suggestions? I would try myself but I don't have any low-gain mods, heh.

I may swap out a 12ax7 or two in my Plexi mod to lower the gain. Anyone done this?

you could try the Egnater Fender-Bassman mod.
