Does the SL+ have a switch like Pete's? I'm considering a modded SL+ that I can put in slot 2 for heavy crunch, but also dial back for a more vintage sound which folks on here say Pete's will do.

nope...it's not a pete mod...it's a friedman mod.
come to think of it...i would consider a pete jcm800/sl+ module as well for trade.

it has less gain, and much more of a VOX AC30 vibe. think Queen and The Edge.
