JJ Power tube pin size

I've read on another forum that JJ has changed the pin size on their power tubes to a smallar size. Appearently some people have fried their amps because of it. has anybody encountered this?

thanks for posting this. My RM100 went down at a gig with brand new JJE34L in it. The link you got here is about JJ 6L6 though, i wonder if it's the same deal with the E34L. Anyway, stupid move on JJ, why the **** would they make them not fit guitar amp socket? Cutting cost on pin size is just dumb.

I noticed that www.dougstubes.com refers to the "old pin style" for some JJ tubes. I wondered what that was all about....now I know.
