MTS: Round 2 - I'm Back, Baby!

After a long and exhastive amp search, I've finally come full circle. Just picked up an RM20 combo w/ Brahma module. Lately, I've been searching for a Marshall JMP/JCM800/Plexi tone, but lower wattage and this seems to be the ticket.

I owned the 2x12 combo, when they were first released w/ blackface, plexi, xtc, and recto modules. I wasn't playing with anyone at the time, so I sold it. When I starting playing with my buddies again, I went through some other amps and finally settled on a Mesa/Boogie Mark IV, which I absolutely love...still. It's pretty much "my sound", but I still wanted that old Marshall tone that's on all the old records. I also wanted something I could play at home at lower volumes, so this RM20 is perfect. I also tried the Mr. Scary and the Grail, which I also dug.

Got a question:
Although I haven't had a chance to really play with it yet, but I know I like the Brahma. I did try the Mr. Scary first, which reminded me a lot of a JCM800, but I liked the vintage tone of the Brahma, so I went with it. Do I have to buy the Mr. Scary or can I get the sound of the Mr. Scary out of the Brahma with an od?

True, I guess maybe I should have asked the RM20 users out there to chime in with tips, etc. No big. Thanks for the warm welcome!

I also re-entered the fray after a year or so hiatus......welcome back....I love my RM 20...
