Anyone use this for recording?
I am going to try the out into a behringer DI box with the CAB simulator (yeah a little noise but if u keep playing you wont hear it lol)
Next I will try through the PowerAMP of a CRATE VC-508.
and perhaps through the mixing board directly and see what I come up with....

Lose the Behringer and get a stereo power amp with El34 in one side and 6L6's in the other, get one of those Randall split stereo cabs, 2 Royer 121's and a pair of API preamps... and do it the Michael Wagener way. Well, he uses the Chandler preamps for the Royers. But anyway... he takes 5 inputs from each guitar pass, all mixed down into some fatness. Lovely.

I know I know, gonna whine about the price. It is tough though. Thats where a single nice Ribbon mic (I have a SHinybox thats ok) and a good preamp (Seventh circle A12 CHEAP) and a Radial X-amp come in handy. I get all those layers, but I just get them one at a time after I D.I. the guitar part into the recorder.
