if I have a 1/4 watt resister and i replace it with the same value but 1/2 watt, is that ok? Will it change the sound or be the same? Do I have to use the exact same value or is that just a minimum?
 
It's O.K. to substitute a higher wattage for a lower one. You do have to use the same resistance value. Higher wattage resistors usually have progressively thicker wire leads as the wattage goes up. You don't want to use one whose leads don't fit the hole in the pc board. Hope this helps! Pat L.
