That VHT even *sounds* like it was hard to play...very dry...I bet I'd need two Overdrive pedals to even play that :D

Different I like it ...

It definetly reminds me of that clean dry VHT character

so only showing of progress of our tuning work on Terrier mod
allways two same phrases, first old version, second new upgrade with same settings (see in table)

I am not certain its VHT exactly...but it reminds me of that sound, to be sure.
Salvation, you do the most creative Mods..I have to give you MAJOR credit for that..WELL DONE!!
But with the overdubs, only using active pickups to demo the modules...its hard to know how these would sound for ME (a guy who plays passive pickups, and a less distorted style.)...But your work is ALWAYS worth listening to.
I applaud your hard work.

Which VHT? ;) Terrier is crossover of three VHT products (GP3,Deliverance,Pittbull) and by my ear we catch VHT-esque sound not bad. This new upgraded version is more playable and usefull than first prototype. New soundclip is done, waiting for final mix. And still have in your mind, modules are not copies od real heads, everytime is based on.

PS: I have no active pickups!!! Overdubs is standard, especially for soundclips, If I did no overdubing clips, nobody cares about it! But I allways do!!! For every new salvation module listen to "Tour de XY" (this is mono show from low gain to highest with all features of module) but again, nobody cares about it  Because is not shining enough 8) Consider my Mandarins lowgain clips ;) But, yes I have prepared some SRV crunch clip for Salvado etc.... so stay tuned

Here you can heard Tour The Terrier-(VHT based modification)
this is new version upgraded for more gain and cut through the mix.

Clip shows tonal and sounds possibilities of that module, using swicthes and different settings of gain.
You can hear nice grainy character, unlike other modules I ever heard.

Thanks to Hyenik!!

some technical info:
We started with first prototype of Terrier,
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7657292
It showed very special sound character, but with some problems, like too dry and hard playability or muddy palm muting.
Anthony made a lot of changes- add some gain (according upgrade of GP3 preamp from S.Fryette), changed bass part of module, made different limits of voicing characters, rebuild of Edge switch, and lot of other small details and here it is - final version of Salvation Terrier module:
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7660526

You can here all changes belove, and feel better playability and readable PMs. This Tour de Module shows complete wide of sound posibillities with all switches from lower gain settings to maximum gain. This shows "main VHT property" - in maximum gain you can still hear notes :)

Here is my "scientific notation" about this experiment (old and new sample with same settings on my salvationized RM20):

Final words:
Terrier is module not for everybody, but has unique sound character, which perfectly works especially in mix with other type of guitar sounds.

PS: You can looking forward for next clips, I was very pleased with my 7strings Dean through Terrier, really great modern sound, and I?m working for another examples - Unearth, Helmet....

Thank you sooo much for the notes.
And I understand how many people crave the overdubs and ignore the Mandarin on a low gain setting...but let me just say: I think The mandarin is an AWESOME CREATION!!! In fact, I think its probably the best thing Ive heard from you..so please dont think that everyone is shallow.
I find the mandarin alot more musical in many ways than some of the higher gain modules.
I wish I had the money right now..Id get a Mandarin and be a VERY Happy person.
Would you consider any trades?
I have a GX700 effects unit. I have some very cool pedals .
let me know.
GtrGeorge
Terrier cool....Mandarin even cooler, imho.

Yeah, Mandarin is cool, btw I will have two "orange" modules...
Salvation standard Stonerverb (in different visual design) and Stoner AD, for other gain character (one gain stage less then Stonerverb) and switch for orange Natural channel from Rocker30. I call these modules Orangutan and Mandarin.
But again, this will be not for everybody, 95% of people will take Stoneverb, but of course I?ll make some clips for lower gain too ;)

and sorry no trades, but I don?t think that price is so high. You only will not take couple of drinks in your favourite bar and you can buy orange module ;)
