wiring with pedal in the effects loop

I am starting to look into possibly purchasing the synergy Vai module. I can't seem to find the answer to this question. I have a 5150iii combo with effects pedals in the effects loop already. If the synergy goes in the effects loop, how does that wire in with the other pedals in the loop? Do I just treat it as another pedal in the effects loop or do I wire it to the effects loop in the 5150iii and run my current effects on my pedalboard through the synergy? Or do I put it into the input of my amp like an overdrive pedal (I.e. guitar - overdrive - synergy - amp input). Thank you in advance.

Synergy has an effects loop of it's own. Just put your pedals in there.
