Hi! I Recorded these a while ago and decided to post them here.

XTC clip 1
First recording, screwing around a bit ;)

XTC clip 2
I re-recorded an older clip with the RM4 to compare the recorded tones with my older Laney recorded stuff ..
You can find the old demo in my music, the RM4 just blows it away!

Cherry XTC
Yeah okay .. I listened to Cherry Pie and impro'd a recording 2 minutes later .. what did you expect?

Last but certainly not least:
TwinFace Deluxe channel, clean and crunch
First a piece of Under the Bridge with low gain (clean), and then I turned it up a bit and then all the way ;)
In the crunch things I go through my pickups neck -> bridge -> middle each time.

All these clips are recorded straight from the RM4 into my soundcard.
- ASIO4ALL drivers
- Reaper
- GuitarHack impules
The guitar is my beloved Ibanez S470DXQM.
SD in the bridge, EMG Hi-Z in the neck, knock-off Hot Rails in parallel in the middle.
(yes I'm planning on upgrading that  )
I probably used my modded-by-me Boss SD-1 on the solo's but I'm not sure.
It's modded to between MXR ZW-OD and Keeley specs + some of my own.

:) Hit me!

thanks for RHCP, now I don?t need to train it :)
XTC sounds good too.

Haha, I bet you can do better ;)

Does this do the Twinface justice in your opinion?
It's hard to find good impulses for clean IMO, it gets very boomy or very flat real quick..

Of course these are only 2 sounds out of 304829809 ..

Killer tones man. What are your settings for the second XTC clip?

Thanks man!

To be honest I don't have a clue anymore, it was 3 weeks ago that I recorded that ...
But something along the lines of:
Gain: 2 -3 o clock
Bass: 2-3
Mids: 12-1
Treb: 11-12
Volume: 9 (master volume at 3 o clock)

And I tweaked the double track to have a bit more mids and highs if I remember rightly. About "half an hour" higher, maybe a bit more ;)

yes, sounds nice.
for clean I use usually alnico blue or greenback impulses with Royer121

I'm going to see if I can find any better ones.. but I don't record much clean at the moment so it's not really nessecary. ;)

That XTC sounds really good, m0jo. Great job.
Thanks man!

I've uploaded two new clips that where recorded with my band SparkPlug :D

Something New

For the Ladies

They are just working versions, we'll be recording them properly very soon! :)
Also the vocals are not recorded here because our vocalist was down with the flu. :(

"Something New" was recorded with 2 overhead condenser mics out of the drummer's mic set, we had to make do ;)
Both into one track on the laptop, so it was hit or miss as well.
The first rythmic riff is done on the Twinface in Pushed mode.
Bridge clean: Twinface in DLX mode. (with very bad settings)
Everything else: XTC

"For the ladies" was recorded with one overhead condenser and one dynamic mic.
And I accidentaly kicked my booster into "KILL" mode, so it .. kills. Sorry about that ;)
Main riff: XTC
Rythmic riff: Twinface Pushed
Solo: XTC

Our vocalist is inspired on RHCP, RATM and those type of bands.
So there's a lot of rapping and rythmic stuff going on.
Just so you can imagine what is missing here. ;)

ps. our other guitarist plays a Marshall DSL.
It was a bit loud in Something New.
