your goto brand of power tubes

reliability wise what is the best brand of power tubes you have used? I just blew out a sovtck 6l6 wxt in my rm100. I have used these tubes for years in my mesa 2:90 with no issues .. stuck it into my RM100 and bam, gone in five minutes.... biased ~30mA

I have had great results with Winged C's. Both 6L6GCs and EL34s.

Right now I run a pair of their EL34's on the outside sockets along with a pair of Gold Lion KT88s on the inside on my RM100.

I ran Winged C 6l6s in my Mesa Mark IV for about 4 years with no problems. I still have those tubes and use them as backups eventhough they are probably fine for full time use.

FYI - the EL34s have a very pronounced midrange that is awesome. Really makes an amp scream (in a good way).

JJ works especially well with MTS.

JJs rock although preamp tubes can be a little harsh. Too much gain.
Electro-Harmonix are superb. Favorite all around.
Mesa is good.
