    Syn2 not responding to midi

Yes, this was my situation. BAD sent me email instructions complete with pictures. The fix is easy, assuming it is the same problem. Matt

    Syn2 not responding to midi

My problem is resolved. Synergy diagnosed the issue (incorrect internal switch settings) and sent instructions over email for the fix. I did not have to return anything, and now my two SYN-2s are switching fine! So glad I didn't have to go through the return process. I guess I benefitted from...

    Syn2 not responding to midi

Oh great, I thought it was just me. I have two SYN-2s just in from Musicians Friend and neither one will respond to midi. Same exact thing- I tried my Helix first, then an old Art X-15 I have laying around, and nothing, not even the Bypass LED blinks. I hope I'm just missing something too. Matt

Looks like GC and MF joined the party

I'm a long-time member of this forum, some 10 years or so, and I'm back into the modular world with a SYN-1 and a Morgan AC. The SYN-1 was a demo (pristine on inspection), and the AC was in stock. Snagged a Plexi just now, shipped overnight FedEx in less than an hour. Sweetwater rocks. And so...

RM4 midi not functioning - fuses? can I fix this myself?

Thanks everyone for the input, I have everything working now, but I'm not sure why . . . Here's what happened: -bought a GCX for loop control -plugged the GC Pro into it, no go, I was more sure than ever that something was broke, probably the GC and the RM4 -READ THE MANUAL for the GCX, and...

RM4 midi not functioning - fuses? can I fix this myself?

Well I am in a bit of midi hell, I can't seem to make anything listen to the GC Pro and respond to program changes. And the midi board HAS a "plug in" style fuse, which I am going to replace. But first I need to prove to myself that I know how to configure boxes to talk to each other. MIDI...

RM4 midi not functioning - fuses? can I fix this myself?

UPDATE: heard from ryan @us musiccorp today, who stated that there was a fuse on the midi board itself. Mine, of course, does not appear to have one. I could be missing it though. Anyway, the response was fast - next weekday. I sent him a picture, hopefully something will come out of it. Matt

RM4 midi not functioning - fuses? can I fix this myself?

Joshua, Thanks for the advice, the RM4 will not respond to any midi message on any channel (I tried them all, changing the dip switches and programming the GC Pro) even when the RM4 is directly connected to the foot switch. Now, and suddenly, the TC GM2 is not responding to the foot switch...

RM4 midi not functioning - fuses? can I fix this myself?

Since I do not know the history of my RM4, it is certainly possible/likely that the midi inputs were "misused" at some point. I have sent an email to Randall support; we will see what they say. Matt

RM4 midi not functioning - fuses? can I fix this myself?

First off, my apologies if this has been covered before, but a search of the forum did not yield specific information. Here is the situation I am facing: -all midi connections made with std 5-pin cable (not using the powered pins) -bought a Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro last week, new, and set...
