Top Boost Mod?

Hi all...

I just tried the documented TB Mod (removed two caps, add 100K resistor), and it gets a really wierd attack distortion with a bright input (Strat bridge pup), and it's bright switch on. It's ok with the bright switch off, and the gain reduction is good etc.

Question: is this normal with the documented TB Mod?

# R7 change from No Part to 100K Ohms (1/4 watt)
# C7 change from 22u to No Part - simply cut this part out
# C13 change from 22u to No Part - simply cut this part out

If I remember correctly, someone else here has complained about this too?

Check Resistor R1. Make sure it's a 150 ohm, 1/2 watt.
