Any boost or effect in general should go right into the input on the amp. I use the effects loop just for a hush unit

You can still find decent used heads from 200.00 to 300.00 bucks. There worth picking up just because of the price! There's one on my local craigs list right now for 100.00, I'm sure thinking about it!

I use rackmount Rocktron hush units thru the amps effect loop, works like a champ.

I have two of these, one in snakeskin tolex the other in black. I paid $600.00 at the most for one of mine. What do you think? Is this guy insane or am I sitting on a small fortune? :twisted...

I use a Rocktron hush II BX, its old but does the trick. Right now I chain it thru the two heads, hush send to effect return on head 1, effect send on head one to effect return on head 2, effect send on head 2 the the hush return. I shoud just break down and get a stereo Hush unit. I have never...

I use a RGT 100ES, I also use a roland GP-8 rackmount processor. The GP-8 is noisy hell. I run the GP-8 in line and right to the input on the head. To fix all the noise I run a rocktron hush unit thru the effects loop and it fixes everything. The only thing in the loop is the hush. I tried...

Update: Yes its very possible. I had it done to my rgt 100 es. My tech used a double pole double throw switch(3 position toggle switch). Toggle switch up= dirty channel Toggle switch down= clean channel Toggle in center position = normal foot switch use. It works Great!!
