    Randall v Egnator modules

But it would probably only take a jumper to make it ch B instead of ch A. That came from Bruce a year or so ago when we were discussing this. Then of course I said "maybe we could put a switch...." Don't remember the reply. Roscoe

Any Coverbands having issues getting gigs lately because....

Welcome to the "ME" generation. Many people go to clubs to be seen...not to see. They are the new entertainment...ewe Dance clubs, now there's a joke, beer bottle in one hand, cigarette in another, humpin on yer man's thigh. Roscoe

A few questions about the isolation cabinet

A 421 comes with its own clip (i assume thats what you mean when you say saddle) and it is larger than a 57. It looks like the goosneck may bend down at the base for positioning. Unless you can see one locally I would suggest you run this buy customer support. Roscoe

How many modules do you own?

EG-5, Bassman, Deluxe, EG3/4, SL2...all dual channel. For me the Bassman and EG5 cover a lot of ground. Roscoe

    Egnater EG 5

I don't know how long this has been out but it rocks. I grabbed one from the shop a while ago and put it in a Mod 50 that I mainly use in my studio. To my ears it does heavy rock tones better than a lot of the other modules. Sometimes the lower mids can get a bit cloudy with Egnater modules...

    EJ Tone??

EG 3/4 would go there. I don't know what the Randall equivalent would be but I do know that the Egnater modules will work in the Randall, well one channel any way. Roscoe

    Cabinet mic placement

A 57 close, center = bright, outside edge = dark.... and then... A large diaphram condenser, omni, placed about where your head would be if you were standing a foot in front of the cab. Creates a nice ambient feel, like you are there. Won't work so well with a stack or if you are three feet...
