This isn't a standard Custom 3 either, it's reverse colours (looks cooler) and has a boost slider switch on the inside and extra channel switch on the face. I'd say it's a Custom 3+ (and then some). Someone should buy this :)

I bought some new tubes from tubedepot last night after some recommendations from doug at dougtubes and brian at tubedepot (and quite a lot of researching). This is for my ENGL Blackmore by the way.. Went with a quad of SED Winged =C= 6L6GCs, a tung-sol 12AX7 for V1, some shuguang/sino 12ax7s...

tone chasing, especially on multi-layered tracks, especially without the exact same gear and trying to "get close" is just too hard, i've given up. spending more time finding my own great tone

this thread is really confusing.. i don't understand why you can't just run it into a cab of ANY kind/size and stick a microphone in front of one of the speakers running straight into the PA....? like every other show ever that isn't a basement or someones living room
